Data for targeted training
The foundation of our training program, exercise testing enables us to identify your physiological profile and tailor a training program to your specific weaknesses.
VO2max - A direct measure of cardio-respiratory strengths and limitations. VO2max identifies maximum oxygen consumption, heart rate zones, aerobic and anaerobic thresholds and carbohydrate and fat burning efficiency.
Anaerobic Threshold - A measure of the critical point when lactic acid production equals your body's ability to remove it. This test is also known as the lactate threshold test which provides important data for racing and workout intensities.
RippedTM Caloric Assessment (RCA) - New to the Peak Power lab, a specific test has beened designed to reflect the metabolic changes that a person undergoes in the popular RippedTM Workout. This test was designed in conjunction with Jari Love, founder of RippedTM. Direct assessments of caloric expenditure, fat and carbohydrate utilization and heart rate are measured for the most common Ripped exercises.
Anaerobic Power and Capacity - Instantaneous power measurements utilizing our high performance Velotron Bikes.
Wingate - Specifically designed for power sport athletes, the wingate test determines your leg power, capacity and fatigue resistance. The Wingate is performed on our Velotron Power bikes.
Critical Power - Ideal for power sport and power-endurance athletes, critical power determines your optimal sustainable workload. These tests are performed on our Velotron Power bikes.
Velotron SpinScan - An accurate measure of pedal stroke efficiency, left and right leg balance and power.
Body Composition - An estimate percent body fat and overall lean muscle and fat masses using the Harpenden skinfold caliper method.
Speed / Power Testing - Exact measurements for sprinting (infrared timing lights), vertical jump (vertec) and agility.
